These are some of the terms we learned 

 

Aquaduct

A conduit or artificial channel for conducting water from a distance, usually by means or gravity.

 

Aquafer

any geological formation containing or conducting ground water, especially one

that supplies the water for wells, springs, etc.

Brands

a type of product manufactured by a particular company under a particular name.

 

Coalitions

A combonation or alliance, especially a temporary one between people factions and states.  

 

Cotton

a soft, white, fibrous substance that surrounds a tropical and subtropical plant.

Dye

to color or stain; treat with a dye; color cloth, hair, etc. with a substance containing 

coloring matter

Dyehouse

a building department or plant in which dyeing and related processes are carried out.

 

DryDye

to dye a fabric by using a non water solvent.

Fabric

a cloth made by weaving, knitting, or felting fibers

​

Fabric Mill

a factory for making textiles.

​

Fiber

a thread or filament from which a textile is formed.

​

Garment

An item of clothing.

​

Industry

manufacturing or technically productive companies in a particular field, often named after its principal product.

 

Manufacturing Plant

An industrial site, usually consisting of buildings and machinery.

Sark

a shirt or chemise

 

Sustainable

able to be maintained at a certain rate or level

​

Textile

Any cloth or goods produced by weaving, knitting, or felting.

​

Wastewater

Water that has been used in a home, business, or as part an industrial process.

​

Water Footprint

The amount of fresh water utilized in the production or supply of the goods / services used by a particular person or group.

Water Reservior

A natural or artificial lake or pond used for the storage of water

​

Wet Processing

is the process they use in any finishing treatment.  Where, this process is applied on textile in form of liquid which involves some for chemical action on the textile.​

Virtual Water

Water that we use to make and create items without using the water directly.
